This shot seems to be the number 1 way to get off suboxone. Tapering with pills & film below 2mg is hard enough. With the shot it'll just gradually leave your system.

I been on suboxone for almost 20 yrs! I was also so done with this crap controlling my life, the fear of running out ,getting sick etc... i tappered from 3/ 8mg strips/ day (24mg) down to about 6mg / day for 2 mos. And i just got my 1st sublocade shot 2 days ago! It was the 300 mg shot ,and idk if its too strong but i have been puking , cant sleep, feel nauseated and dizzy. Im 115lbs and am wondering if the 100 mg shot wouldve had the same result? Unfortunately my dr office is closed till Monday wondering if this is normal n ill feel better in a few days or if its not normal n go to the er?

My provider upped my dose from 8mg Suboxone to 16 mg Suboxone for the week prior to sublocade injection. It seems like she took the opposite approach as you are talking about. Explains why I’ve felt like trash the last few days.

I wish I watched this vid before I went to a detox clinic. I went in with so much hope, but I soon learned that I had made a massive mistake. All my freedoms were taken from me including my prescription for benzos. I remember going to the nurse after a few days of being there crying my eyes out asking her if I had a seizure and died, if I would feel pain because I genuinely thought I was on death's door. I wasn't sure what was real and what wasn't. Near the end of my stay, I finally talked to a doctor which had zero idea about a slow taper plan and accused me of faking my symptoms to get another prescription. He finally caved when I cried to him telling him how bad it was but instead of prescribing it properly, he switched my prescription from alprazolam 2 - 3.5mg a day to diazepam and raised the dosage in comparison. I think I was taking 45mg of diazepam a day when I left. Needless to say, I left that 'detox' clinic higher than a fricking kite and a sharp realization that most doctors don't know anything about the severity of benzo withdrawal. It's been 6months since I went to that hell which is a money printer for the owners (most rehab/detox centres are), and I'm struggling so hard because of the lack of understanding. How do I tell someone I feel intoxicated when I don't take my medication that I'm addicted to and that I'm trying to ween myself off of? It's crazy to me that so many people are addicted to this poison, yet most of society doesn't understand how severe it is. Thankfully I found a doctor that's following the Ashton protocol with forgiveness for my dosage incase I need to stop the taper for a few weeks and keep at the same dosage. This is a hell that the English language isn't strong enough to describe

One bit of information that no one talks about is how long before you have to worry about relapse? If you’re on the shot for 6 months, how long before you will feel the effects of opiates when you quit taking the shot?

I am however low as hell on energy and I have no clue what to do with myself. But I haven’t used in 15 hours and no withdrawal whatsoever. Ima beat this hold on my life after wasting literally EVERYTHING AWAY! I do have still, my dignity, freedom and I’m not withdrawing. If I can do this, you can do this. Microdosing works! I followed Dr Starrs Suboxone integration schedule and I felt very few withdrawal symptoms. The thing is I'm 16 days in and taking about 1/30th of an 8mg strip, I mean so little you can barely see it yet still 12 hrs later I'm once again yawning like crazy, sniffling, it's summer and I'm still cold! I really don't want to be dependent on anything bcuz that was my focus from the beginning. And don't get it twisted bcuz Suboxone will sneak up on you if you're not careful!

When I used heroin, no fellow addicts I knew wanted to stop using heroin by going on Methadone. The consensus among most opioid users was that once you're on Methadone you were on it for the rest of your life. It was much easier to stop heroin than Methadone. Plus, you basically became enslaved to a cruel, for-profit medical system that really didn't care about you. This wasn't true for all providers. Yet, the fact that your whole life was centered on getting to the clinic was inescapable. Now, we are finally seeing a way out. With so many people arrested, overdosed, losing limbs, dying, this is the best tool we have to end our opioid dependence. I can't wait to look in the mirror and see my pupils dilated. To not battle chronic constipation. To worry about what happens if I can not access buprenorphine. To drop my monkey, permanently sounds almost like science fiction. Good science fiction!

It's all about changing the rituals, it's all about conditioning the mind to have a normal schedule, it's not easy at first but you will actually get back to normal fairly quickly, except your subconscious is still very very susceptible to withdrawal symptoms, so if you sweat even in the smallest way you might get triggered to think it's withdrawal, and it might be only minor though, but if you take a beta blocker it will all go away, it will help you get off the rest of the way, I recommend getting at least four to six of these shots before jumping off❤❤

THANK GOD DOCTORS ARE UNDERSTANDING THIS ABOUT FENT! I found microdosing or waiting almost 3/4 days to take a suboxone to be the only ways to get suboxone to work and not end up feeling worse from suboxone. I spent years having doctors tell me how to induce and people telling me i dont know more than doctors. Dailying increasing microdoses seemed to the best the easiest transition but it also takes a lot of self control which us addicts usually lack. But that’s the only way i could get suboxone to work. With the longer you microdose and the dosage of microdose being biggest factors in ease pf induction.

Xanax, 4mg/day at the end, duration was 16 years and I completely disagree with this guy. Doctors have a tendency to think scientifically negating factors that can not be proven such as the emotional state of people. Xanax is usually prescribed because people are emotionally unstable. Tapering while still having to deal with life's expectations is an insane concept for me to grasp, unless you are independently wealthy and can live in utopia for months on end it's just not going to happen for 99% of people. I did a 10 day detox and subsequent 3 week inpatient program while on anti convulsives and comfort meds for the intense anxiety that can't be avoided. I will say this, be careful with detox facilities, the first one I went to was for alcohol and they gave me Ativan at wayyy to mild a dose considering I had been addicted to Xanax as well. The second one had me comfortable under the same conditions, I did not suffer withdrawal symptoms as much as rebound anxiety, the viscous cycle of Xanax broken!!!

Gabapentin, prescribed 900 - 1800 milligrams per day for approx 6 years, and effexor 75 milligrams for about 2 years now. I got one 300 mg shot 2 weeks ago. Because of the clinic wasting so much time on the first one (2 months) I don’t have enough rescue to continue. Will I be ok with just one 300 milligram shot?

I have been using since I was 20 and am now 38. I first started with lortabs and minor stuff like that. Then I moved quit and got on Suboxone for about a year and relapsed onto oxycodone. Used that with any other opiod I could find for years. Then started smoking heroin then injecting. Then during COVID I tried methadone and that didn't work because I could never get a high enough dose to feel ok. So back to fent and have been using since. I recently got a prescription for Suboxone hoping it would be the answer because I had better luck way before. But I go into precipitated withdrawl anytime I try. Even after 24/48 hours. I'm beginning to think it's hopeless and should just give up.
